We pay tribute to the founder of Modern Impressions, Mr. Kirtley Wayne “Don” Sharpe, who recently passed away on 01/03/2021 peacefully at his home.

Don founded Modern Impressions back in 1968 and was responsible for many decades of growth and development of our company through some of the most difficult times. He not only was an excellent businessman, but was truly a motivator full of love, compassion, and understanding towards all people.

He remained the successful leader of Modern Impressions up until retirement in 2005. Don and his wife, Anne, moved to Troutdale, VA and built a beautiful mountain retreat together. They became active members of Mountain View Baptist Church and the community for more than 15 years.

Throughout his life, Don enjoyed sports, fishing, telling stories and rich relationships with his customers, friends and family. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved animals and was just easy to be around. He was hard-working, a great listener and well respected by all who knew him. He was loved and will be greatly missed!

Don, you will never be forgotten. You will always be remembered not only as our founder, but even more so a father and a friend. Take care, until we meet again.
