Rise Up Ministry – Modern Impressions Devotion in Motion

Rise Up Ministry Logo

As one of the Core Values in our Mission Circle, Ministry is integral to how Modern Impressions conducts our business in the community. We believe that we should use our gifts to help others on an individual and community level. Jesus demonstrated how to care and love for one another, we choose to follow this path in caring for our clients, employees, vendors and community. Below are a few of the Ministries in which we participate:

BackPack Beginnings

BackPack Beginnings is a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to delivering child-centric services to feed, comfort and clothe children in need. Childhood hunger and trauma expose children to risk of developmental, emotional and educational delays that can last a lifetime. BackPack Beginnings provides food, comfort and clothing directly to children in need, making an immediate positive impact on their health and well-being. Operating 2 BackPack programs, the Food BackPack Program and the Comfort BackPack Program, as well as 12 food pantries and a free clothing pantry, the organization helps over 6,000 children experiencing hunger and trauma in 38 Guilford County Schools and 20 Child Assistance Organizations across Guilford, Forsyth and Alamance Counties.

Modern Impressions is proud to be working with BackPack Beginnings starting in 2016. To find out more about this worthy cause in our community, please visit their web site here.

Power Cross

POWER CROSS

Power Cross began in 2006 with four boys in a living room, invited together for a Bible study, dinner, and a football game in the yard. That first week there were four boys, the next there were eight, and within a few months, over thirty boys were taking part. Today, Power Cross trains and disciples over 350 young men each day across two locations in Statesville and Salisbury, North Carolina, with a vision for more campuses all over the United States.

Since we’ve begun, our Power Cross family of staff and volunteers have served over 115,000 free meals, provided over 5,000 hours of academic support, and cheered on and coached hundreds of young men in countless games and practices.

Church Of God Children’s Home

Our Home (the Church of God Children’s Home of North Carolina) is a private, non-profit Christian agency that provides a positive and safe living environment for hurting, abused, neglected, and at risk children placed privately and by the North Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS). Our Home is committed to meeting the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of hurting children. To see them grow into maturity and make decisions that will lead them to be productive citizens is our driving force.

Nehemiah International Ministry

Nehemiah International Ministry is about God’s grace and favor for people who have had their lives, nations, villages, and cities destroyed. It’s about restoration. It’s about the Lord’s vision, spoken over the Lord’s people, for the rebuilding of their lives. It is about leadership and mobilizing the body of Christ for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission: “Go and make disciples.”

Kannapolis City Schools

Kannapolis City Schools offers Career Technical Education (CTE) programs at A. L. Brown High School designed to prepare students for a broad range of employment and post-secondary educational opportunities. Research has found that the most successful high school graduates were those who took a solid college-prep program and a Career Technical Education program of study. Our CTE programs are staffed by teachers with related business and industry experiences that enhance the learning process with real-world relevance.
