At Modern Impressions, we’re more than just about Managed IT solutions; we’re about shaping the future, one student at a time. In 2023, we launched a vibrant CTE internship program in partnership with Kannapolis High School, offering students a hands-on experience in the world of professional printing and copier technology.

A Semester of Learning and Growth
Over the course of five months, our interns dive into the nuts and bolts of our industry. They don’t just shadow professionals—they get their hands dirty (sometimes literally!). From setting up and programming advanced printers and copiers to preparing them for delivery, our interns learn the intricacies of our trade. It’s not just about the technical skills, however; they also navigate the day-to-day life of working in an office and warehouse environment, providing them a 360-degree view of the workplace.

Meet Our Star Intern, Nicholas Barnhardt
This year, we were thrilled to have Nicholas Barnhardt join us. As an A & B Honor Roll student with a keen interest in engineering, Nicholas exemplified the type of dedication and hard work we cherish. His achievements in school and his ambition to continue his studies in Automotive Engineering at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) make us proud to have played a part in his journey.

Recognition and Rewards
Our interns don’t just gain experience—they receive recognition too. Upon graduation, they are awarded for their dedication and hard work, acknowledging their achievements and the professional skills they’ve developed during their internship. This award is a small token compared to the invaluable experience they gain, which we believe will serve them well in their future careers.

Looking Forward
While the program is still in its infancy, with only three interns so far, our dreams are big. The goal? To not only continue offering these enriching experiences, but to hopefully welcome some of our interns back as full-time employees in the future. We’re committed to nurturing this program and expanding the opportunities it offers to young talent in our community.
